Mr. Stephen M. NeSmith Jr. is the Managing Partner of NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010 and has built a career defined by extensive knowledge and experience in the complex area of immigration law. During the last 15 years, he has successfully navigated numerous cases, resolving a wide variety of intricate immigration concerns for a diverse range of clients.

Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. NeSmith is a recognized voice in the legal community, frequently advocating for the rights of immigrants and highlighting the vital impact they have on our country’s past and future. Mr. Scott M. NeSmith is a Senior Partner with NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C. He is a graduate of the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, where he was honored as a Fellow with the Faulkner Law’s Public Interest Society. During law school, he completed several legal internships to build a strong foundation in practical litigation and client advocacy.

Through his dedicated service to the community, Mr. NeSmith developed a focused expertise in personal injury, criminal defense, and immigration law. He is passionate about protecting the rights of the most vulnerable and consistently acts in the best interest of his clients to ensure they receive fair treatment under the law.

Mr. NeSmith is an active member of the State Bar of Alabama, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Like his brother, he is fluent in Spanish, providing essential legal counsel and representation to the Hispanic community.


Andrew H. Wright - Montgomery Immigration Attorney

Andrew H. Wright graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner
University in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2020. He passionately serves people in Alabama in a variety of legal matters. His practice spans a range of areas, including immigration, family law, estate planning, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense matters.
Mr. Wright has experience representing individuals in immigration matters, including removal defense, asylum applications, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, family-based petitions, and other related matters. He works closely with a dedicated team of other experienced attorneys and professionals to guide clients through some of the most stressful and high-stakes moments of their lives.

In addition to immigration, Mr. Wright represents clients injured in motor vehicle accidents and workplace incidents. He conducts thorough investigations, negotiates with insurance companies, and fights to recover fair compensation for his clients. When cases cannot be resolved through settlement, he is fully prepared to take matters to trial.

Mr. Wright also brings significant experience in family law. While in law school, he served as a law clerk for a highly respected family law judge and earned accolades in Advanced Topics in Family Law. He has since achieved numerous favorable outcomes for clients in matters involving divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, and child dependency.
His background in estate planning includes earning an “Excellence for the Future” Award in Wills and Trusts and interning in an Elder Law Clinic. Mr. Wright now assists clients at all
stages of life with drafting wills, planning for incapacity, and maintaining control over their
financial, medical, and personal affairs. He also helps families establish guardianships and
conservatorships for loved ones in need of protection and support.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Wright served as a paralegal in multiple Air Force legal offices. His experiences in the military inspired his pursuit of a career as an attorney and continue to shape his client-focused approach to advocacy.

Anna B. Hubbard - Montgomery Immigration Attorney

Anna Hubbard is an Attorney at NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C., where she is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. Her practice focuses on a wide range of immigration matters, from family-based petitions to complex employment and humanitarian cases. Anna is licensed by the Supreme Court of Utah to practice law. 

Before joining NeSmith & NeSmith as an attorney, Anna served as a J.D. Case Manager for the firm, where she was responsible for overseeing and training legal assistants and interns in immigration case work. Her passion for human rights and immigration law was further developed through numerous legal experiences:  working with Immigration Legal Services on humanitarian relief applications; AG Immigration specializing in EB-2 visas with National Interest Waivers (NIW); serving as a Student Attorney at the BYU Law Community Legal Clinic, real estate, and small claims cases; and collaborating with Members of Parliament on international religious freedom issues at the All-Party Parliamentary Group Freedom of Religion or Belief.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor in April 2024 from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where she was an Executive Editor for the Education Law Journal. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in History, magna cum laude, from Utah State University, with an emphasis on the Middle East & Asia and a minor in Religious Studies.
