
Stephen M. NeSmith, Jr.
Mr. Stephen M. NeSmith Jr. is the managing partner of NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010 and has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of immigration law. During the last 15 years, he has successfully worked on numerous cases dealing with variety of immigration concerns for his clients.
Mr. NeSmith recognizes the great impact that immigrants have had on this country in the past, as well as the tremendous need for them in the future. He has a passion for immigration law and the rights of immigrants. He has written much on the subject, and his articles have been published in The Birmingham News, The Montgomery Advertiser, and The Tuscaloosa News.
He is a member of the State Bar of Alabama, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is fluent in Spanish.

Scott M. NeSmith
Mr. Scott M. NeSmith is a Senior Partner with NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C. He graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, where he also earned the title of Fellow with the Faulkner Law’s Public Interest Society. During Law School, Mr. NeSmith worked as a legal intern to further his knowledge and expertise in the legal field.
Through his dedication to serving those in his community, he developed a desire to help clients with personal injury, criminal, and immigration cases. He is passionate about protecting the rights of those most vulnerable in our society and always acting in their best interest.
Mr. NeSmith is a member of the State Bar of Alabama, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Like his brother, he is fluent in Spanish.

Andrew H. Wright
Mr. Andrew H. Wright is a Senior Attorney with NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C. He is a graduate of the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. While attending law school, Mr. Wright gained experience in the Elder Law Clinic, where he provided estate planning services and helped clients secure control over the management of their finances and medical decisions.
Mr. Wright served as a law clerk for more than two years in a family court to the Honorable Robert T.R. Bailey. There, Mr. Wright garnered valuable experience and learned the intricacies of navigating matters of divorce and child custody. He reviewed and drafted final divorce decrees for more than 200 couples who were able to amicably separate, and he often observed trial for and conducted legal research in cases of many others whose divorces were litigated.
Additionally, Mr. Wright is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a paralegal and supported Airmen and their families by assisting them with estate planning, securing powers of attorney, and processing their claims. Mr. Wright also had the privilege to not only assist with the prosecution of Airmen under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but also to work with the Area Defense Counsel (a military-member defense attorney) to help Airmen through the challenges of facing criminal charges.
Mr. Wright is a member of the State Bar of Alabama.

Anna B. Hubbard
Anna Hubbard is an Associate Attorney at NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C., where she is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. Her practice focuses on a wide range of immigration matters, from family-based petitions to complex employment and humanitarian cases. Anna is licensed by the Supreme Court of Utah to practice law.
Before joining NeSmith & NeSmith as an attorney, Anna served as a J.D. Case Manager for the firm, where she was responsible for overseeing and training legal assistants and interns in immigration case work. Her passion for human rights and immigration law was further developed through numerous legal experiences:
Immigration Legal Services (Salt Lake City, UT): Researched, prepared, and compiled applications for various immigration statuses.
AG Immigration (Irvine, CA): Researched and drafted visa applications for EB-1 and EB-2 NIW visas, and prepared responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) from USCIS.
BYU Law Community Legal Clinic (Provo, UT): Served as a Student Attorney handling immigration, real estate, and small claims cases.
APPG Freedom of Religion or Belief (London, UK): Interned at the All-Party Parliamentary Group, researching and drafting reports, speeches, and written questions for Members of Parliament on international religious freedom issues.
Education and Advocacy
Anna earned her Juris Doctor in April 2024 from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where she was an Executive Editor for the Education Law Journal. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in History, magna cum laude, from Utah State University, with an emphasis on the Middle East & Asia and a minor in Religious Studies.
