The following terms govern the text messaging (SMS/MMS) program operated by NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C.
Program description. When you opt in to receive text messages from NeSmith & NeSmith, P.C., you will receive messages relating to your inquiry or legal matter, including appointment confirmations and reminders, hearing and filing deadline reminders, requests for documents or information, case status updates, returned calls, and responses to messages you send us. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Consent. You will only receive messages if you have given prior express consent — for example, by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our website, agreeing in writing during intake, or texting our number first. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving legal services or of any purchase.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on the status of your inquiry or matter.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a single confirmation message, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, reply START or sign up again as you did the first time, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
